Toxic Materials

If you find yourself with toxic or flammable material at the end of a home or garden project, what should you do with it?

First, consider using less toxic material if possible. Second, dispose of the material properly; usually this means using the Household Hazardous Waste Facility. Residents can bring in materials for free disposal. Small businesses can register and dispose of materials for a reasonable fee. Materials are sorted for reuse or disposal and safely processed to prevent these materials from harming the environment.
